Please read these general terms and conditions carefully before using our services.
Company Pelias, sro, with its registered office at Žltá 16/F, 851 07 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, Registered No .: 53 375 599, entered in the Commercial Register of the City Court of Bratislava III, Dept .: Sro, vl. Č. 156154/B (hereinafter as „controller“) issues these General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as” GTC “), which regulates the rights and obligations between the controller and third parties (job seekers, clients, or other entities) – users of the website https: //www.pelias.sk and https://www.pelias.cz
(Hereinafter also referred to as the “website“).
In the sense of the subject of business, the controller is a provider of employment mediation, advisory and consulting services and within the subject of business it is also entitled to perform mediation activities in the field of trade, services and production.
In the following provisions of these GTC, the Operator defines the purpose, method of use and basic conditions of the contractual relationship for the users of the website. Other purpose of entering and using the website as stated in these GTC is prohibited. The controller is not liable for damages and injuries caused by the use of the website for any purpose other than that defined in these GTC. The controller is also not liable for damages and injuries caused by third parties, to which users have obtained contact through the operated website.

The services provided by the controller are intended for:
– job seekers, it means natural persons looking for work (registration, possibility to respond to a job offer, saving and making a CV available);
– candidates and advertising companies as employers seeking to hire employees (registration, addition and publication of a job offer, access to a CV database);
– interested parties / clients in the use of consulting and advisory services of the controller
(Hereinafter referred to as “user“)
The services offered to job seekers are free, with the obligation to register on the website.
The scope and content of the services provided are determined on the website. The user can contact the controller and ask for a more detailed explanation of the scope and content of the services. The price for services and fees charged by the controller are charged separately according to the price list or according to the agreement with the operator.
As part of the registration, the user fills in his data. By checking the box, the user agrees to the processing of personal data and accepts the rules of processing personal data published on the website The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided. The user shall not interfere with the rights of other persons, disparage their good name, reputation or damage their rights. The user shall be liable for any false information provided and for misleading the controller or a third party. The controller shall not be liable for any damages caused by false information provided by the user.
If the user wishes to permanently unsubscribe – cancel his registration account on the website, he sends his cancellation request to the controller by e-mail or in writing. The controller shall inform the user of the cancellation of the account. If the user has already entered into a contractual relationship with the controller, cancellation of the registration on the website does not imply termination of the contractual relationship. The contractual relationship may only be terminated by the user in accordance with the procedure and for reasons in accordance with the contract and the legal provisions.
Users of the website accept that on the website of the operator, logos or advertising notices of the operator or other third parties may be placed and visible. Advertising notices (logos, videos, images) are published on the basis of a contract concluded separately with the controller.
Creation, modification and termination of the contractual relationship
Registration is required for the use of the controller ‘s services by users who are interested in the controller ‘s paid services and by advertising companies as employers (hereinafter also referred to as the “client“).
The client orders the controller ‘s services via a user profile or by ordering a specific service via the price list. If you need to order a service other than by the above methods, please contact us by email or phone.
An order for controller services must include, at a minimum, the following:
– business name
– billing address
– contact details (phone / email)
– Registration number, VAT and/or TIN
– type and period of service provision
The contractual relationship is established only after the controller has confirmed the order. The contract is concluded during the period of the selected service. The client’s order is binding, and any change to it is only possible with the consent of both parties (client and controller).
The operator reserves the right to terminate the contract if the client violates these GTC, the provisions of the contract or statutory provisions, which will result in the controller ‘s right to terminate the contract. In case of an early termination of the contract, the operator must be contacted with a request by email or in writing.
In the case that due to an error on the part of the client the possibility of using the service ceases, the client is not entitled to a refund of the amount paid at the time of the order.
Payment terms and prices for individual services
The prices of the individual services are listed in the price list on the website. In the event that the user uses the services of the controller for a fee, he/she undertakes to pay the fee for the services in due and timely manner according to the price list or contractual arrangements with the controller.
The invoice for the ordered services is automatically issued to the client and sent to the contact details provided by the client.
Liability for damages
The user must not damage the name of the controller, disseminate false and distorted information to third parties, and must not take action to harm the controller in any way.
The controller is not responsible for the truthfulness of the information provided by the user in the CV database. The controller is not responsible for finding a candidate and keeping them in a job, nor is the controller responsible for finding a job for a candidate and keeping them in a job. The controller shall not be liable for any damages that may be incurred by users or third parties through the use of the job portal, including loss of profit or loss of any data. The controller shall not be liable for any misuse of the login data by an unauthorised person, nor for any other damages or claims by third parties resulting from such misuse.
The client shall protect all personal data obtained through the work portal on the website and shall also protect the data from disclosure or disclosure to any other person or its disclosure in any way. The client shall be liable for any damages caused by any breach of these terms and conditions.
Knowledge of the technical capabilities of the internet and general proficiency is expected of all users of the website when using the website. The controller assumes no responsibility for viruses or other infections of the computer system or other technical equipment of users of this site. The controller is not liable for damages caused by incorrect connection to the portal.
In the event of a defect in the services provided, the user may complain to the controller about the defect in the service immediately after discovering the defect, but no later than 14 days after the user discovered the defect or could have discovered the defect. The controller shall verify the above facts and immediately inform the user of its findings and the method of remedying the defect, no later than 10 days after receipt of the complaint.
Protection of personal data
The Operator acts in accordance with Law No. 18/2018 CFU and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. The basic principles for the protection of personal data of website users and information about their rights are provided on the website as Information on the processing of personal data.
The user undertakes to comply with all provisions of these GTC when using the website and the services of the controller.
The controller reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. If the controller issues new GTCs or changes the GTCs, the old GTCs shall cease to be valid on the date of publication of the new GTCs or changes to the GTCs on the website.
Relationships that are not regulated in these terms and conditions are governed by the applicable legislative regulations of the Slovak Republic.
These general terms and conditions shall come into force and effect on 1.4.2021.
